Why You Should Focus Your SEO on Google


Composing and structuring your company’s website so people can find it on search engines (called “search engine optimization” or “SEO”) is critical, but the good news is that most people are safe focusing entirely on one search engine — Google.
This point was clearer than ever when web analytics company Experian Hitwise published new research about search engine usage in the United Kingdom. The firm found that Google sites account for 92% of all searches in the UK.
Google sites include not only the main Google search engine but also the video site YouTube, and other properties like Google News. The closest competitors in the study were Yahoo! and Microsoft, which each managed a paltry 3%.
